About the course

UNE’s Bachelor of GeoScience develops practical skills in earth science, geology and GIS/geospatial mapping to help you understand how the planet’s resources are found, managed and used. You’ll build knowledge of Earth’s composition, structure and geological systems while gaining applied capability for field and industry contexts. This is an undergraduate bachelor programme in geoscience and earth/environment studies. The programme develops laboratory techniques, scientific writing, and analytical methods for research and industry settings.

Career outcome

Graduates can pursue roles supporting exploration and management of earth resources across mining, energy, environmental consulting and geospatial industries. Skills in geology and GIS can lead to work in mapping and spatial analysis, resource and environmental management, field or laboratory support, and project roles in government or industry.
