About the course
This double degree major in Geography examines how people, places and environments interact across local, national and international contexts. You’ll analyse challenges and opportunities linked to urbanisation, globalisation and climate change, and explore topics such as indigenous rights, migration and governance. The major builds analytical and fieldwork capabilities including mapping, interviewing, surveying and statistical analysis within an undergraduate geography pathway.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles that apply spatial and social-environment analysis to community and land-use challenges. Potential careers include natural resource manager, social assessment officer, regional development coordinator, landcare advisor and environmental assessor. Employment opportunities may be found in areas such as local government and international development, using fieldwork, mapping and research skills developed through this undergraduate geography major.
