About the course
This double major combines Game Design and Art with Immersive User Experience Design to build skills across game worlds, characters and human-centred digital experiences. You’ll develop creative and technical capability to design engaging interactive products and immersive experiences, supported by studio-style learning and industry-focused projects. This is an undergraduate major studied within Curtin’s Bachelor of Digital Creative Industries in design and visual art. The programme combines disciplinary knowledge, applied learning, and graduate competencies for professional career entry.
Career outcome
Graduates may work across gaming, interactive media and digital product teams, creating 3D assets, levels and immersive UX/UI experiences. Typical roles include game designer, 3D artist/modeller, level designer, motion designer, interaction designer, UX/UI designer and VR/MR experience designer. Opportunities also extend to advertising, film/TV, education e-learning, simulation/training and digital media production. This is an undergraduate pathway into design and visual art careers. Preparing graduates for graduate employment, professional traineeships, and further postgraduate study.
