About the course
This flexible double degree lets you combine the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) with one other ANU bachelor degree from a wide approved list. It is designed to help you tailor studies to a career pathway and personal interests, either deepening expertise in law-related areas or broadening your qualifications across disciplines. Use ANU’s Degree Builder to explore how program requirements fit together.
What you might learn
You will develop core legal knowledge and skills through the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) while building complementary capability from a second bachelor degree of your choice. The program is designed to strengthen analytical reasoning, research and communication, and to help you integrate perspectives across disciplines. The structure supports purposeful specialisation or diversification, and allows planning of electives that may enable an additional major, minor or specialisation.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue legal careers (subject to relevant professional requirements) while also leveraging expertise from the second degree area. Outcomes may include roles in legal practice, government and policy, corporate and commercial settings, regulation and compliance, international affairs, consulting, or advocacy and non-profit work. The combined qualification supports careers that require strong legal reasoning plus domain knowledge in fields such as business, economics, science, technology, or public policy.
Entry requirements
Applicants must meet ANU’s program-specific academic/non-academic and English language requirements. Indicative entry scores shown are ATAR 97 or IB 41 (competitive). You must satisfy the entry requirements (including any prerequisites) for both degrees in the double degree combination. Admission is competitive and meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee an offer.
