About the course
This Bachelor of Fine Arts (Music) builds creative and professional capabilities for contemporary music practice. You’ll develop musicianship and creative practice skills, supported by studies in sound recording, audio production and composition in digital environments. The course includes a structured major plus complementary studies and elective choices, with opportunities to tailor learning and consider exchange. This is an undergraduate degree focused on music and creative industries practice.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue work across performance, composition, songwriting and contemporary music creation, as well as roles in recording, audio production and sound design. Skills developed can support careers in independent practice, creative collaborations and project-based work in arts organisations and the wider creative industries. Pathways may also support further study such as teacher education (subject to requirements). This is an undergraduate qualification for professional practice in music.
