About the course
This one-year Honours course is designed for high-achieving graduates in design or architecture who want to extend their expertise through advanced study and a supervised research project. You will develop and deliver an independent project in environmental design, negotiated in advance with an academic supervisor, including project scope, outputs and supervision arrangements. It provides a pathway to deeper specialist capability and potential further research study in the built environment.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue roles that value advanced design research and project development skills across architecture, environmental design and the broader built-environment sector. Outcomes can include research-led design practice, concept and strategy roles, design research assistance, and progression toward higher degree research (e.g., PhD). The Honours year supports building a portfolio and research capability relevant to professional and academic pathways in architecture and environmental design.
