About the course

This combined accelerated degree lets high-achieving students complete an honours robotics engineering qualification plus a master’s in electrical and electronic engineering in five years. You’ll study electronics, computer control, signal processing and programming for designing, developing and operating robots, and integrating them into workplaces. The master’s component adds specialist study in intelligent instrumentation and related systems in engineering. The programme strengthens advanced engineering design, systems analysis, and innovation management for complex industry projects.

Career outcome

Graduates can work in the growing robotics and automation sector, applying skills in robot design, electronics, control and intelligent instrumentation. You may pursue roles across manufacturing, mining, health/medical technology and other advanced industries where robotics is being deployed. Potential roles include robotics engineer, robotics sensor integration specialist, mechatronic engineer, process and automation engineer, and instrumentation engineer in engineering teams and R&D environments.
