About the course
This scholar stream of UOW’s Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Single Major) in Telecommunications Engineering and Internet of Things is designed for high-achieving students seeking an enriched engineering experience with opportunities to extend into further study and research. You’ll build capability in connected systems and communications technologies aligned to modern networks and IoT applications, delivered on campus at Wollongong in an honours-level engineering degree. The programme combines engineering fundamentals, design projects, and industry-ready technical problem-solving skills.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across telecommunications, networking, embedded and IoT systems, electronics and electrical engineering, and data-driven technology teams. Typical positions include telecommunications or network engineer, wireless communications engineer, embedded systems or IoT systems engineer, electronics/electrical engineer, control systems engineer, and related technical product or project management roles.
