About the course
This honours engineering degree focuses on the transition from fossil fuels to cleaner, sustainable energy systems. You’ll build core knowledge in renewable energy technologies, energy storage and emerging solutions such as carbon sequestration and subsurface hydrogen storage, alongside professional engineering practice. The course emphasises practical problem solving, teamwork and project leadership for Bachelor-level energy engineering pathways. The programme combines engineering fundamentals, design projects, and industry-ready technical problem-solving skills.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles supporting the energy transition across renewable generation, storage and low‑emissions projects. Career options may include graduate/energy engineer, renewable energy project engineer, energy systems or storage engineer, and roles in decarbonisation, carbon capture and subsurface storage projects. Opportunities exist with utilities, consultancies, resource and infrastructure companies in Bachelor-level engineering and energy sectors. Preparing graduates for graduate engineer, project support, and technical design roles across engineering sectors.
