About the course
Charles Sturt University’s Bachelor of Education (Secondary) – HSIE prepares you to teach Human Society and its Environment to students in Years 7–12. Delivered online with supported professional placements across Australia, the course builds capability in humanities and social sciences alongside secondary teaching practice. You will select two teaching areas, allowing you to combine HSIE with another specialisation within secondary education. The programme develops classroom practice, curriculum knowledge, and educational psychology for teaching professions.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue careers in secondary education, including roles as HSIE teachers and secondary school teachers in public, Catholic and independent schools.
