About the course
This Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) prepares you to teach and support children in early learning settings and the early years of primary school (Prep to Year 3). You’ll combine education theory with extensive professional experience placements from first year, building practical classroom capability. The course focuses on contemporary early childhood issues such as development, digital literacy and inclusive practice for a career in Education & Teaching. The programme develops classroom practice, curriculum knowledge, and educational psychology for teaching professions.
Career outcome
Graduates can work as early childhood teachers in early learning centres and kindergartens, and as teachers in Prep to Year 3 in primary schools (Queensland registration pathways may apply). The degree builds professional experience and teaching practice to support work across Australia and internationally. Typical roles include early childhood teacher and lower primary teacher within Education & Teaching.
