This double degree prepares you to become a secondary school teacher while developing advanced skills in music practice and creative industries. You complete 432 credit points, with two teaching areas: the first aligned to your Fine Arts (Music) major and the second chosen as a minor in Education. The course includes at least 80 days of supervised professional experience in schools, delivered at Kelvin Grove. It is an undergraduate program in education and music. The programme develops design, animation, visual storytelling, and digital media production for creative industries.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue secondary teaching roles, with teaching areas aligned to their music specialisation and an additional minor teaching area. The program’s extensive school placements support readiness for classroom practice and eligibility to apply for teacher registration in Australia (subject to requirements).
