About the course
This double degree prepares you to become a secondary mathematics teacher, combining teacher education with university-level mathematics. You’ll learn contemporary curriculum, teaching and assessment approaches and build confidence through progressive classroom practice, from observation and co-teaching to planning and delivering lessons. The program develops an understanding of how diverse students learn mathematics and how to teach it effectively in secondary settings as a Bachelor-level Education & Teaching qualification.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue work as secondary school teachers (including Catholic, government and independent schools), with pathways that may also extend to vocational and community education settings. Roles may include teaching mathematics in high schools and supporting learners in specialist or alternative education environments.
