About the course
This double degree prepares you to become a secondary mathematics teacher, combining teacher education with university-level mathematics. You’ll learn contemporary curriculum, teaching and assessment approaches and build confidence through progressive classroom practice, from observation and co-teaching to planning and delivering lessons. The program develops an understanding of how diverse students learn mathematics and how to teach it effectively in secondary settings as a Bachelor-level Education & Teaching qualification.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue work as secondary school teachers (including Catholic, government and independent schools), with pathways that may also extend to vocational and community education settings.
