About the course
This honours program prepares you to teach across Prep to Year 6 while completing advanced coursework and an education-focused research thesis. You’ll build capability for teaching in a rapidly changing, information-rich society, with emphasis on literacy and numeracy, inclusive and differentiated learning, and leadership through research. Classroom experience begins early via supervised placements. It is a Bachelor Degree / Honours Degree in Education & Teaching. The programme develops classroom practice, curriculum knowledge, and educational psychology for teaching professions.

Graduates are equipped for primary teaching roles and broader opportunities in schools and educational settings that value research and leadership. The program supports pathways into classroom practice across the early and middle years, as well as roles that involve curriculum support, learning diversity initiatives, and evidence-informed teaching improvement. It can also provide a foundation for further study and research in Education & Teaching at Bachelor Degree / Honours level.
