About the course
This nationally accredited early childhood education degree prepares you to teach children aged 0–8 years, with a focus through to Year 3. You’ll build knowledge of wellbeing, play-based learning and supportive environments, and connect theory to practice through supervised professional experience placements and an internship across early childhood and school settings. This is an undergraduate Bachelor qualification in Education & Teaching. The programme develops classroom practice, curriculum knowledge, and educational psychology for teaching professions.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue teaching and leadership roles across early learning and primary contexts, including childcare and kindergarten settings and the early primary years. Career pathways may include early childhood teacher (ECT/kindy teacher), primary school teacher (Prep–Year 3 focus), centre leader/director, education consultant, tutor, children’s advocate or youth support roles.
