About the course
Designed for graduates from non-teaching degrees, the Master of Teaching (Primary) prepares you to teach Kindergarten to Year 6. You build classroom practice and inclusive teaching capability, supported by strong links with school communities. The course includes early and ongoing professional experience immersion and a total of 60 days in schools, with an option for a rural or remote placement in NSW. This is a master coursework degree in primary education. The programme enhances curriculum leadership, pedagogical innovation, and educational policy understanding for professional educators.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue roles across primary and broader education settings, including primary school teacher (K–6), special education teacher, discipline or curriculum lead, digital education specialist, training and development officer, education policy advisor, educational consultant, and pathways toward school leadership such as principal (subject to experience and accreditation requirements). This is a master coursework qualification focused on professional practice in primary education.
