Bachelor of Design (Industrial Design)/Bachelor of Laws (Honours) (ID13)

About the course

This double degree combines industrial design with an accredited law qualification, building creative problem-solving alongside strong legal and research capabilities. You complete design impact labs and an industrial design major, then progress through core law and elective units including honours-level law subjects. Study is based across QUT’s Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove campuses, preparing you for interdisciplinary practice in design and law at bachelor/honours level.

Career outcome

Graduates can pursue roles that blend design practice and legal expertise, such as industrial/product designer, design strategist, design consultant, or roles in IP and commercial contexts supporting creative industries. The law component meets academic requirements toward admission as a solicitor and/or barrister (with further practical legal training). This double degree supports careers across design, business and legal environments as a bachelor/honours qualification in law and industrial design.
