About the course
This double degree builds expertise in criminology and global security, focusing on criminal behaviour, crime science, legal studies and the causes and impacts of terrorism. You’ll examine how crime and security threats shape societies and explore contemporary responses to transnational issues. Designed as a unique Australian offering, the program supports flexible study modes and specialisation through majors. This is a Bachelor-level course in law and criminology. The programme builds legal reasoning, case analysis, and professional ethics for legal practice and public service pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles addressing complex security and crime challenges in Australia and internationally. Career paths may include work in intelligence services, defence, border protection, immigration, customs, and state or federal law enforcement agencies. Opportunities may also exist across security and cybersecurity, foreign affairs and aid, NGOs, and the court and legal system.
