About the course
This double degree combines criminology with law, letting you examine crime, deviance, harm and injustice while building a strong legal foundation. You’ll study criminal behaviour through sociological, psychological, political and legal lenses, and learn from legal experts across areas such as human rights, climate and energy, trade and criminal justice. It is an undergraduate on-campus program at Macquarie. The programme builds legal reasoning, case analysis, and professional ethics for legal practice and public service pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue pathways across legal practice and criminology-related roles in government, courts and justice agencies, policing and regulatory bodies, policy and advocacy organisations, and private-sector risk and compliance. The combination supports work involving criminal justice processes, legal analysis, research and evidence-based policy, with opportunities aligned to evolving industry needs.
