About the course
QUT’s Bachelor of Creative Arts (Drama) is a practice-led degree focused on performance and theatre-making. You’ll explore directing, devising, production design and creative leadership while building a broad, adaptable skill set through projects, internships and industry connections. Each year includes a live performance outcome, supported by experienced practitioners, in a bachelor-level performing arts context. The programme combines disciplinary knowledge, applied learning, and graduate competencies for professional career entry.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue careers across theatre and live performance, creative production and arts organisations. Typical pathways include performer, director, dramaturg or devising artist, production designer, stage/production coordinator, creative producer, community or teaching artist, and roles in event and cultural programming. The degree also supports broader creative-industry work by developing collaboration, leadership and project delivery skills in bachelor-level performing arts. Preparing graduates for graduate employment, professional traineeships, and further postgraduate study.
