About the course
The Bachelor of Creative Arts (Creative Writing) builds your writing practice alongside critical thinking and analysis of texts and contemporary culture. You’ll develop original work across forms and learn to craft, revise and present writing for different audiences, supported by workshops and a creative community. This is an undergraduate creative writing degree at the University of Wollongong. The programme combines disciplinary knowledge, applied learning, and graduate competencies for professional career entry.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue roles where strong writing and editorial skills are valued, including writing and publishing, copywriting, editing and content production for digital media. The degree can also support pathways into arts administration, communications and related public-sector roles, with further study enabling careers such as teaching. This is a bachelor-level pathway into creative writing and content industries. Preparing graduates for graduate employment, professional traineeships, and further postgraduate study.
