About the course
This double degree combines professional communication with an accredited law (honours) qualification. You study communication and law units concurrently, building skills in public relations, media and stakeholder communication alongside legal reasoning, research and advocacy. The program includes a communication major plus the full law core, electives and QUT You units, with later years focused more heavily on law. This is a Bachelor/Honours program in law and communication.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles that connect law, public affairs and strategic communication across government, corporates, NGOs and consultancies. Career paths may include legal practice (subject to admission requirements), policy and regulatory roles, compliance, risk and governance, and communications/public relations positions such as media relations, corporate communications or stakeholder engagement. The combination supports work in complex, highly regulated environments. This is a Bachelor/Honours pathway in law and public relations.
