About the course
This one-year Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) builds on your commerce degree through advanced study and a substantial research thesis. You will deepen disciplinary expertise in business, develop critical analysis and problem-solving skills, and gain experience in research design and methods. The program is designed to differentiate graduates in the employment market and can also provide a pathway to higher degree research in commerce. The programme introduces business strategy, finance, marketing, and leadership foundations for commercial organisations.
Career outcome
Honours graduates apply advanced research, analytical and critical thinking skills across business, government and non-government settings in Australia and internationally. Roles may include investment banking analyst, quantitative researcher, taxation adviser, portfolio governance analyst, forensic accountant, insolvency manager, merchant banker, financial systems accountant, or credit and treasury administrator. Employers can include businesses, consultancies, start-ups, governments, NGOs and universities in commerce.
Entry requirements
Entry into one-year Honours is highly competitive. Applicants with a GPA of 5.00 or above during their bachelor degree are invited to apply for Honours.
