About the course
This dual degree prepares you to teach in secondary schools while building deep expertise in arts disciplines. You’ll study how people learn, curriculum and pedagogy, and develop two teaching areas, supported by workshops and practical training. Across the program you complete school visits and supervised placements to apply your learning in real classrooms, while the Bachelor of Arts broadens your knowledge across humanities, social sciences and languages. The programme develops classroom practice, curriculum knowledge, and educational psychology for teaching professions.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for careers as secondary school teachers with expertise across two teaching areas, supported by substantial classroom placements. The Arts component also builds strong communication, critical thinking and cultural capability, supporting roles in education-adjacent settings. Career pathways can include teaching in secondary schools, curriculum and learning support roles, and broader opportunities in community, government or cultural organisations where arts and education knowledge are valued.
