About the course

This five-year double degree combines professional legal training with a liberal arts program in Western Civilisation. You study core law for admission as a lawyer in Australia alongside Western literature, philosophy, politics, religion, art, science and history to build strong critical thinking and ethical judgement. The program includes community engagement and pro bono experience, preparing graduates for leadership and legal practice as a Bachelor-level qualification in law and humanities.

Career outcome

Graduates can pursue admission-oriented legal careers and roles that value advanced analysis, communication and ethical decision-making. Career paths may include solicitor or barrister work, in-house counsel, legal officer roles in the public sector, community legal centre and public interest practice, or legal research. The combined humanities focus also supports opportunities in government administration, policy organisations, arts institutions, commerce, tourism and community organisations as a Bachelor-level law and humanities graduate.
