About the course
This double degree prepares you to become a secondary school teacher while building deep disciplinary knowledge through a Bachelor of Arts and a postgraduate initial teacher education qualification. You develop confidence to design engaging, flexible learning experiences and graduate with two specialist teaching areas (or combinations of majors/minors), with an option to gain accreditation to teach religious education in Catholic schools. The programme enhances curriculum leadership, pedagogical innovation, and educational policy understanding for professional educators.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across secondary education and related learning settings. Typical pathways include teaching in government, independent, Catholic and other faith-based schools, as well as education roles in community centres and private colleges.
