About the course
This honours year in Western Civilisation is designed as an in-depth project that builds on a completed three-year undergraduate degree. You will deepen your critical thinking and research capability through advanced study and a substantial independent honours project, developing scholarly skills and intellectual breadth. The program is delivered on campus at Wollongong as a Bachelor Degree / Honours Degree in Arts & Humanities. The programme combines disciplinary knowledge, applied learning, and graduate competencies for professional career entry.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue roles across government and policy, diplomacy, community and social services, media and publishing, journalism, marketing and advertising, heritage and cultural organisations, education, and business administration. The research and communication skills developed can support pathways into consultancy, writing, archiving and librarianship, or further postgraduate study.
