About the course
This double degree combines deep study of Western civilisation with a comprehensive legal education. You will examine major philosophical, literary, political, artistic, scientific and religious works in small, discussion-based classes, while completing core Australian law studies required for entry to the legal profession. The program builds critical thinking alongside practical legal skills and ethical, real‑world perspectives for a Bachelor-level qualification in humanities and law.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue legal and public-facing careers that draw on strong critical reasoning and communication skills. Possible pathways include work as a solicitor or barrister (subject to professional requirements), legal adviser roles in government or industry, policy and research positions, and specialist practice areas such as commercial, criminal defence, intellectual property or media law.
