About the course
The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) (English Literatures) at UOW develops advanced critical reading, research and writing skills through independent study in English literary traditions and contemporary texts. You’ll work closely with academic staff, refine analytical and communication abilities, and contribute to scholarly debates about culture and literature. This is an Honours-level Arts & Humanities program with a strong research focus. The programme develops classroom practice, curriculum knowledge, and educational psychology for teaching professions.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue roles that value strong research, analysis and communication skills, including writing and publishing, journalism and media, education and training pathways, cultural and heritage organisations, government and policy work, marketing and communications, and related professional fields. The degree also provides preparation for further research study. This is an Honours-level outcome in Arts & Humanities.
