About the course
This degree prepares you for careers across agriculture and animal health, building strong foundations in science, analysis and farming systems. You’ll combine theory with extensive hands-on learning in labs, on farms and in industry settings, supported by academics involved in current agricultural research. A flexible structure lets you specialise through majors such as animal health, animal science, or crop and pasture science. The programme develops laboratory techniques, scientific writing, and analytical methods for research and industry settings.

Graduates can pursue roles across agriculture, agribusiness, animal health and government. Career pathways may include agricultural scientist, agronomist, farm or livestock manager, animal health and welfare manager, biosecurity (pest and disease) manager, animal nutritionist, research scientist, wildlife health consultant, genetic consultant, or laboratory scientist in agricultural or veterinary laboratories. This is a bachelor-level pathway into professional agricultural science practice.
