About the course
This Associate Degree in Social Sciences (Policing Practices) develops a social science base with applied knowledge and skills for contemporary policing. You study how human behaviour, communities and institutions shape policing, drawing on criminology, law, sociology, psychology, politics and public policy. Endorsed in Tasmania by Police, Fire and Emergency Management, it is delivered online and supports study alongside work in policing-related settings. The programme introduces counselling basics, community support skills, and behavioural science fundamentals.
