How Ying Hu's Life Changed Drastically from China to Australia

Meet inspiring Master of Teaching in Early Childhood student, Ying Hu. Originally from China, Ying Hu wanted to further her studies in Australia. As she was researching on trustworthy education agencies, she was wary of trusting anyone online. She found AUG through constant encounter on many major Australian universities’ website. This gave her confidence that AUG is an official and trusted partner with these universities.

Back in China, AUG has helped Ying Hu choose the right courses and Australian university. She managed to be enrolled in Australia’s Number 1 university, The University of Melbourne and had her student visa application approved without fuss. Ying Hu feels blessed to be guided in every step however she admits it was initially hard to be an international student in a foreign country. She struggled with the challenging course and was finding it difficult to get a job in Melbourne.

AUG opened their arms to Ying Hu and invited her to their family. They gave her motherly advice about her future and when she needed an Australian internship experience, AUG offered her an internship with them. During her internship at AUG, Ying Hu found her passion in helping and touching lives of fellow international students. She wants to change their lives in Melbourne just as how AUG changed hers.

Through her internship with AUG, Ying Hu found the confidence to put herself out there and felt happier being in Melbourne. Thanks to the stepping stone that AUG gave her, Ying Hu was elected as an international student officer for Graduate Student Association (GSA) at The University of Melbourne. With this new role, she can continue her passion in supporting international students here.
