About the course

The Doctor of Veterinary Medicine prepares you for professional veterinary practice through intensive clinical training and hands-on experience. You’ll build advanced knowledge in animal health and disease, develop diagnostic and treatment skills, and learn from experienced clinicians and researchers. Study is delivered on campus with a full-time structure designed to support entry into contemporary veterinary practice as a doctoral-level qualification in Veterinary Science.

Career outcome

Graduates can pursue careers as veterinarians in private clinical practice, animal hospitals, and emergency and specialist services. Opportunities also exist in livestock and production animal health, biosecurity and government regulation, animal welfare, public and environmental health, and research or industry roles supporting veterinary pharmaceuticals and diagnostics.
