About the course
The Doctor of Physiotherapy is a three-year full-time degree combining clinical education with research training across core physiotherapy practice areas. You’ll develop evidence-based, patient-centred skills through extensive work-integrated learning and supervised clinical placements in urban and rural health settings. The program is delivered face to face at the Camperdown/Darlington campus as a doctoral-level qualification in physiotherapy. The programme advances health sciences research through evidence-based inquiry, clinical context, and supervised thesis development.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for professional physiotherapy practice across diverse healthcare environments, supported by substantial clinical placement experience and simulation-based training. Career pathways include roles in hospitals, private practice, community and rehabilitation services, rural and remote health, and specialised outpatient and acute care settings. The course also provides a foundation for research-informed practice and academic or clinical education roles in physiotherapy.
