About the course
Victoria University’s Doctor of Philosophy provides the opportunity to complete an original doctoral thesis within a supportive research community and strong industry and government networks. You will undertake advanced independent research with expert supervision, develop your ability to communicate findings through publications, conferences and other appropriate outputs, and contribute new knowledge addressing contemporary challenges. This is a PhD / Doctoral research degree across multidisciplinary areas.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for research-intensive careers where advanced investigation, critical analysis and knowledge creation are central. Possible pathways include academic and university research roles, research positions in government and policy, and R&D roles in industry and community organisations. The programme also supports careers requiring high-level expertise in designing and leading complex projects and communicating research to specialist and public audiences. This is a PhD / Doctoral qualification with multidisciplinary research outcomes.
