About the course
Deakin’s Doctor of Philosophy (Nursing) is a higher degree by research that supports you to undertake clinically grounded nursing research and make an original contribution to knowledge. You’ll work with expert supervisors in the School of Nursing and Midwifery and can align your project with areas such as chronic illness symptom and risk management, acute and critical care, and health services evaluation and models of care in nursing. The programme advances health sciences research through evidence-based inquiry, clinical context, and supervised thesis development.

Graduates are prepared for research-intensive careers that advance nursing practice, service delivery and health policy.
