About the course
This one-day Saturday beginner workshop builds practical AI literacy and online cyber safety skills for everyday users. It introduces common AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot) and how to use them confidently while protecting privacy and personal data. You will learn to recognise scams, deepfakes and manipulated online content, and apply device and password security and safe family technology practices in daily life. The programme develops computing knowledge and technical skills aligned with its qualification level and industry expectations.
Career outcome
This short course supports safer personal and family use of digital services and AI tools, strengthening skills that are valuable across many workplaces and community settings. Participants can apply improved cyber awareness to reduce exposure to scams, privacy breaches and unsafe online behaviours, and contribute to safer digital practices at home, in volunteering, or in customer-facing and administrative roles that rely on secure device and account use. Preparing graduates for technology-related roles and further study pathways matched to the programme level.
