This postgraduate specialisation develops advanced capabilities to support deaf and hard of hearing learners in educational settings. You’ll build specialised teaching practices using inclusive strategies and technologies, and strengthen professional judgement through guided reflection and applied learning. Delivered online with regular lecturer contact and a professional placement component, it can be completed within the Master of Disability Studies in the education and sensory disability context.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue or advance roles focused on inclusive and specialist education for deaf and hard of hearing students across schools and related services. Career paths may include sensory disability educator, special education and inclusion specialist, teacher or education support officer, as well as leadership or policy-oriented roles such as early childhood leader, school leader, or education policy adviser.
