About the course

Designed for busy professionals, this flexible online microcredential suite builds practical skills to safeguard children. It focuses on ethics, legal compliance, risk management and prevention strategies to create safe, inclusive and supportive environments. Learners can complete microcredentials progressively or as standalone units, and may gain up to 30 credit points towards ACU’s Graduate Certificate in Education by completing two to six microcredentials. The programme develops education knowledge and teaching-related skills aligned with its qualification level.

Career outcome

This suite supports professionals who work with or around children to strengthen safeguarding practice in their organisations. It can help participants contribute to child-safe policies, ethical and legally compliant responses, and risk management in physical and digital environments. Graduates may apply these skills in education, community and welfare services, youth support, faith-based and not-for-profit organisations, and other settings requiring child-safe leadership and safeguarding capability.

Entry requirements

To be eligible for admission, an applicant must have completed a Bachelor degree, or have relevant professional experience.
