About the course
The Optimisation Minor is an undergraduate minor made up of four units that you add to an eligible Curtin bachelor degree. It is designed to broaden your quantitative capability and help you tailor your study toward roles that involve improving decisions, efficiency and performance using optimisation approaches. This minor is taken alongside a bachelor-level program in a related discipline. The programme develops laboratory techniques, scientific writing, and analytical methods for research and industry settings.
Career outcome
This minor can support careers where analytical decision-making and resource optimisation are valued, including business operations, logistics and supply chain, process improvement, analytics and planning roles. Graduates may apply optimisation methods to improve scheduling, capacity and performance outcomes across organisations and industry settings. It is a complementary specialisation studied within a bachelor-level program in quantitative science.
