About the course
These microcredentials combine online theory and practical culinary nutrition science training for continuing professional development across nutrition and dietetics, medicine, education and culinary fields. Practical components are available as face-to-face intensives in partner commercial kitchens in Melbourne and North Sydney, or as virtual practicals completed in students’ own kitchens. Completing a paired 5cp theory and 5cp practical microcredential (10cp equivalent) can provide a pathway into ACU’s Graduate Certificate in Culinary Nutrition Science.
Career outcome
These microcredentials support continuing professional development for practitioners who use food and nutrition in professional practice. They can strengthen capability to translate nutrition science into practical, recipe-based strategies for clients and communities, including special-diet applications. They are relevant for roles in dietetics and nutrition services, primary health and general practice contexts, health promotion and education, and culinary or food-industry training environments.
