About the course
This undergraduate minor introduces fundamentals of geodata mapping in 2D and 3D, including data management and visualisation, alongside core concepts in land planning. It is designed to complement a bachelor degree and broaden capability in spatial thinking and planning across disciplines such as environmental and coastal sciences, agriculture, mining, data science and the built environment. This is an undergraduate minor in mapping and land planning. The programme develops engineering knowledge and technical skills aligned with its qualification level and industry expectations.
Career outcome
Graduates can add practical spatial and planning capability to their main degree, supporting roles that use geospatial data and land-use decision-making. The minor is relevant to work involving 2D/3D mapping, spatial data management and visualisation in areas such as environmental and coastal management, agriculture, mining, data analytics and the built environment. This is an undergraduate minor aligned with quantity and land surveying. Preparing graduates for engineering-related roles and further study pathways matched to the programme level.
