About the course
QUT College’s General English Program (5 Weeks) helps international students improve everyday and workplace English through small, interactive classes. You build core skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing, increase fluency and accuracy, and gain confidence communicating socially and professionally. The program includes placement into one of five levels and prepares students for further study pathways such as English for Academic Purposes at QUT College. The programme develops education knowledge and teaching-related skills aligned with its qualification level.
Career outcome
On completion, you receive a certificate that records your study length, attendance and exit level. The program supports better English communication for study, work and daily life, helping you participate more confidently in professional and social settings. It can also be used as a stepping stone toward further English for Academic Purposes study and subsequent tertiary study options, building language readiness within English & Modern Languages. Preparing graduates for education-related roles and further study pathways matched to the programme level.
