About the course
This 30-week General English program at QUT College builds practical English for everyday life, work and study. In small, interactive classes you develop core reading, writing, speaking and listening skills, improving fluency, accuracy, vocabulary and pronunciation. The program supports multiple proficiency levels with placement on arrival and can help prepare you for further English study such as English for Academic Purposes. This is a non-award English language program in English & Modern Languages.
Career outcome
On completion you receive a certificate showing your study length, attendance and exit level. The program is designed to strengthen English communication for social and professional situations and to support progression into further English study (such as EAP) and eventual higher education or workplace use. It does not lead to a specific occupation, but helps broaden employability where effective English is required. This is an Others-level program in English & Modern Languages. Preparing graduates for education-related roles and further study pathways matched to the programme level.
