Gamechangers in Governance is an online, self-paced short course developed with TasCOSS to build confidence and practical governance skills for community sector boards. It supports prospective, new and existing board members to understand board roles, improve board effectiveness, and drive positive change. Learners can complete Stream 1, Stream 2, or both as a bundle, and receive a digital certificate on completion. The programme develops business and management knowledge aligned with its qualification level and professional expectations.
What you might learn
The course develops capability to contribute effectively to community service boards. Stream 1 covers roles and responsibilities of boards, motivations and benefits of serving, and how to be an effective board member. Stream 2 focuses on identifying skills gaps, improving recruitment and retention, strengthening board structures and processes, and creating a supportive board environment.
