About the course
This English for Academic Purposes 2 Standard program at QUT College builds the academic English skills needed for successful university study. You’ll develop writing, reading, listening and speaking for lectures, tutorials, research tasks and presentations, while learning study strategies such as referencing and note-taking. Delivered on campus in a supportive environment, it helps prepare international students to meet English requirements and transition into further study in English & Modern Languages.
Career outcome
This course supports progression into further study rather than direct employment. Graduates strengthen academic English for research, report writing, presentations and participation in an Australian university learning environment, improving readiness for QUT undergraduate and postgraduate degrees that require an IELTS 6.5 equivalent.
