About the course
This undergraduate specialisation builds your understanding of construction techniques used across civil engineering project types. You’ll broaden your expertise in construction methods that support both site and construction management and design-focused roles. The specialisation is completed as four units taken alongside an eligible engineering degree at Curtin, strengthening your foundation in civil construction engineering at bachelor/honours level. The programme combines engineering fundamentals, design projects, and industry-ready technical problem-solving skills.
Career outcome
Graduates gain added capability for civil engineering environments where construction methods and constructability are essential. The specialisation supports pathways into site and construction management, project delivery and supervision, and design roles that require practical knowledge of construction techniques across varied civil projects. It complements an undergraduate engineering qualification by strengthening job readiness in civil construction engineering roles. Preparing graduates for graduate engineer, project support, and technical design roles across engineering sectors.
