About the course
This double major combines Game Design and Art with Animation, Visual Effects and Virtual Production to build skills in interactive storytelling and digital production. You’ll develop capability across game environments, characters and cinematic-style animation and VFX workflows. The major is studied within a related undergraduate degree at Curtin and is designed to broaden creative practice across digital screen and games disciplines. The programme develops creative and multimedia skills aligned with its qualification level and industry expectations.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles spanning games, animation and digital production, including 3D artist/modeller, character designer, game designer, level or environment artist, motion designer and game visual effects or cinematics artist. Opportunities also extend to immersive experience, VR/MR and interaction design, as well as digital media design across film/TV, advertising, education/e-learning, simulation and broader creative industries. Preparing graduates for creative industry roles and further study pathways matched to the programme level.
