About the course
Designed for applicants with a bachelor’s degree and prior IT background, this Graduate Diploma builds advanced information technology capability through specialised study and applied learning. You’ll learn in Murdoch’s IT Innovation Hub with access to mixed/augmented reality, data-centre facilities and high-performance computing. An individual study project lets you investigate an area of interest and apply research and problem-solving skills in IT. The programme deepens expertise in software architecture, data systems, and emerging technologies for advanced IT leadership.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue a range of roles across IT management, strategy and technical delivery. The course supports pathways into positions such as IT manager, technology strategist, information systems manager and business analyst, as well as developer/programmer roles. It also aligns with data-focused and security pathways including data analyst/data scientist and cyber security or networking specialist roles, strengthening employability in the IT sector.
