About the course
Flinders’ Virtual Production postgraduate study develops advanced skills at the intersection of screen production and real-time digital technologies. You’ll learn modern workflows spanning virtual production, motion capture, virtual reality and visual effects, guided by practising specialists with international industry links. Study is delivered in person and includes access to Flinders’ purpose-built motion capture studio, The Void. This is a Masters-level program in media and screen production technologies.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across film, television, streaming and immersive media where real-time engines and VFX pipelines are used. Career paths may include virtual production artist/technician, motion capture or performance capture specialist, VFX/virtual art department roles, VR content creator, and screen production roles supporting LED volume or real-time workflows. Skills also translate to game-engine-driven content creation for advertising and interactive experiences. This is a Masters-level pathway into virtual production and VFX industries.
